Deering Estate Seafood Festival
Every year Deering Estates in Miami, Florida throws a Seafood Festival right on the bay. As a big seafood lover I was in heaven jumping from one tent to the next. There were stone crabs, snow crabs, every type of way to serve shrimp, sushi, etc. The desserts were just as good with the traditional South Florida favorite, key lime pie and the most wonderful guava cheesecake. It was a fun day with friends and the heat was on, no spring for us in South Florida, its was in the 80s and hot, and finding that perfect shade or sitting by the bay for some breeze was a must. There was dancing and historical tours of the Deering Estate, and just taking in the beautiful South Florida scenery. All and all a fun Sunday.
